INVERCARGILL MARKET. Eat Cattle—s 7 yarded, of which not more than a dozen were perfectly finished. Best bullocks brought £6 12s 6d to £7 15s ; good £5 15s to £6 10a; small and inferior, £4 to £5 ; cows, £5 10s to £6 7e 6d for extra prime ; £4 10s to £5 2s 6d for medium ; and £2 to £3 Us for small and half fat; heifers to £4 ss.

Store Cattle—ss yarded. These continue a drug, and are hard to quit at any price. Fat Sheep—734 penned. Best heavy were eagerly competed for, and prices advanced 6d to Is for extra prime quality. The three lots of wethers in sold at 11s, lls 7d audios 5d ; heavy ewes, 8s lOd to 9s 9d ; good, but lighter, 7a 6d to 8s 6d ; light and inferior 6s 5d to 6s lid. Store Sheep—249 penned. Barley —The bulk of the brewers are supplied, and sales are not brisk except at prices under those lately ruling. For medium there is a better demand. Prime malting, 4s 9d to 5s Id; fair to medium, 4s 3d to 4s 8d ; feed and milling, 2a 6d to 3s 6d ; sacks extra ; net. DUNEDIN STOCK MARKET. Fat Cattle—l 76 yarded. There was some fair beef, but very little extra prime. Competition for best was good throughout, and prices were fully maintained. For fat lambs there was good competition, and 9a 6d was obtained for one lot, others 5s 6d to 7s
