Bismark was for some time an official reporter for one of the courts of justice, Upon one occasion, when questioning a witness, the latter made an impudent retort, whereupon the embryo Chancellor exclaimed. angrily,' If you are not more respectful, I shall kiok you out of the room 1' ' Young man/ said the judge, interrupting the proceedings, ' I would have you understand that tbis a dignified court or justice, and if there is any kicking to be done the cpurt will doit.' 'Ah, you see/ said Bismark to the witness,' If you are not more respectful to me, the court will kick yon out of the room So be careful, very oajeiul, sir 1'
