We have received from the Education Board a circular setting forth briefly the procedure to be followed in connection with the election of school committees. It will bo remembered that an article of the same purport appearsd in our issue of the 14th mat., but in order that our readers may be thoroughly conversant with the new method of electing committoes,_ we trust they will pardon us for briefly referring" to the Board's circular. The Board notifles the 27th April as tbe date of meeting for election of committees, and invites householders to send in to chairman of school committee in respective "school districts on or before Monday, 20th April, the names of candidates for election on committee, signed by nominator and also by candidate. On the 21st April the chairman must post in a •onspieuous place on the school door the names of candidates so nominated On the 27th April from 9 a.m. till 7.30 pm. any householder in a school district within the bounds of a borough may deposit his vote into the ballot box, signed by him, said signature attested by a postmaster, schoolmaster or J P When the school district extends or is situate beyond the boundary of a borough, voting papers must be delivered to the chairman of committee before 4 p.m. on the day of election. If only seven names are nominated, the chairman at the election meeting will declare the same duly elected. If less than seven be nominated, that number will be declared duly elected, and the meeting will proceed to nominate and elect by ballot the balance after the usual custom at school committee elections, with the exception that no cumulative voting will be allowed ; and the samp procedure will be followed if more than seven are nominated or if no nominations at all are sent into the chairman on or before 20th April. _ At the commencement of the proceedings on evening of 27th April the chairman of such meeting shall unlock the ballot box and make a list of the names of householders whose names are found therein. In distributing ballot papers to the householders present ballot papers shall be withheld from all persons whose names appear on such list ; the voting papers found in the box shall then be placed together with the ballot papers filled at the meeting and used with them in determining the election.
