Here scrum after scrum ensued, until Hirst got possession, and the Tiverton players ceasing ulay without intimation from the referee, lie ran in, and drew first blood for the visitors. The kick at goal did not further increase the score. For the first few minutes after play was resumed the ball was in Hiverton’s quartets, having been taken there by a o-ood rush of the visitors, but through tinkicking of .1. Clark, and the following „ P or the forwards, the hall was scon once more in close proximity to the Orcpuki goal, and W. Clark, who had been playing a big game from the start, secured it and crossed over. HE brother took the kick, but no goal resulted. Bo time was lost in setting the ball in motion, and the Riverton forward?, who were tinheavier, gradually worked in up the field, and the Orepuki line was again in jeopardy. Mills shortly aider this, by a smart rim, secured the third try for his r-i !c, but again J. Clark’s effort to negotiate the ball over the bar was unsuccessful, from this til! the end of the spell both trams did their utmost to improve their scores, and Orepuki was compelled to force down several turn s. Towards the cud of the spell Cassels, from a lino-out, obtained Lite ova' and ran in. “ Tar” was entrusted with the kick, but was unsuccessful in annexing a goal.
