SAWDUST AS A FERTILISER.
TO THE EDITOR. Sie, —As I intend to do a little gardening tbiS season,, and always believe iin putting eoirielhing in the. ground before taking anything out of it ; arid hearing a short time back (bat sawdust ’s an excellent fertiliser, I 'would thank any of your correspondents to give mo some' information as to the quantity required to bo used to produce a good-crop of kidney potatoes, &t. Such iufdttriation might prove a boon to the district, as there are (line sawmills capable of producing largequantities. Unless saw-dust is used for fertilising purposes, a monopoly will bo created in the guano and bone dusti tradei There are other uses I believe to which saw dust could be profitably, put, and upon this '•subject, I will be glad" if any of your correspondents can enlighten me. I have only just arrived in this colony, and am anxious to do all the good I possibly can to get'my name up.—l am, &o. j, ... : New Cjiuii. >,
