A STRING OF WONDERS.
TO THE EDITOR. by the “ Times ” that there had been a little rumpus in Winton about the taking down of something in the English Church there and putting up a cross with two steps instead, I wonder what the cross is for ? Wonder where it came from—Jerusalem, Rome, or Oxford ? Wonder, if of New Zealand wood, what China man made it ? Wonder what next? Wonder if the church belongs to the people or to the parson? Wonder if flic second commandment is a dead-letter in the English Church? Wonder, Mr Euitor. can you answer the foregoing queries ?—I am, &e., u- .A Protestant.
