APARIMA NATIVE SCHOOL.
The time for which the Native School Committee were elected having expired, a meeting of the Natives was convened in the Schoolroom on Saturday evening for the purpose of electing a new one. Business was comme"ced by unanimously electing Daniel Ilauotu as chairman and James Ireland as secretary, b >th pro tern. It was moved by Charles Newton and seconded by Mr James Leader, That the following list of names be chosen as a Committee for the current year, viz., George Howell, The iphilus Dauiel, John Stirling, David P/att, Charles Newton, Win, Bates, James Leader, Horomono Patu; Daniel Hauotu, James Wixon, Chas. Potauacb, Chas, Goodwillie.—Carried unanimouslyIt was moved by Mr "Wixon, seconded by Horomona Patu, That Mr G. Howell be re-cdected Chairman, and Mr T. Daniel Secretary of the said committee.—Carried unanimously. A vote of thanks to the Chairman concluded the business of the meeting.
