Elisha’s Mess. —Mr Charles Bright, in his lecture on the above suoject, defined true religion as follows: —“ True religion is not a matter of submission to p’iests or Saobath observance, or Church incarnation. It is a daily, nay an hourly, restraining influence ; ana all that is needed is for people to learn the direction in which that restraining influence ought to be exercised to insure the largest measure of morality, and spirituality and consequent happiness.” tiser.”
