Among the many Sad and pathetic inoi« dents connected with the Princess Alice disaster, few are more touching than the following :—Dr Hardwick held an inquest at Holloway on the body of Miss Ellen Hanbury, aged 20, who expired from the effects of immersion after the collission of the Princess Alice. Mr Hanbury, a city merchant, and brother to the deceased, said that she went on an excursion with her sweetheart and others. After the disaster, as she , was a good swimmer, she kept afloat for two hours, getting nearly two miles from the scene of the wreck, when she was taken into a boat. Her sweetheart was with her then, but there being only room for one, she was taken and he was left behind. He kissed her, and said, “ Good-bye, we shall jjjeet in He waslost; ' '
