We have received two poems, entitled “A Vision,” and “ Minnie’s Home,” with the request to know “ whether they are good enough to insert in the paper.” Our correspondent signs herself “ J. 5.,” and is only twelve years of age. Although scarcely suitable for our columns, the lines undoubtedly possess merit for such a youthful wooer of the Muse, and with advancing years and more mature thought, we predict that our correspondent will ultimately reach the standard necessary to ensure that her ■publications will receive a place in our columns.
