THE NEW CONSTITUTION.
TO TUB EDITOB. Sib —A few words from a friend to our present politicians. Did his Excellency ask the Parliament to alter the Constitution. If he did not, the members of Parliament may bo committing treason, as members of Parliament are to regulate within the prescribed and established Constitution. If their present operations be legal, 1 ask by what rule are they to bo cheeked in the formation of a new Constitution,, without they take the Bible as a guide; by so doing they can come to a terminable conclusion. I consider that no Constitution can be formed without the Church being a party to its formation. . . .■. Wo find that the operations of the Great Kings who ruled in the Bible were for the furthering of the-glories of creation to the culmination of design pourtrayod in the Book, That this ought to be, we read.-. Hosea viii. and 14, By this we see the necessity of following the Bible and building in its sequence. —I am, &e., M. Andkkw Mouat.
