Melbourne, May 22. Sullivan has complained to the Government about the treatment he has received from the police and residents of Wedderburu. He states that he had nothing to eat for three days, and had to barricade himself against the attacks of boys, who threw stones and explosive materials at him. Arrived : Riugarooma, from Hew Zealand. May 25. A large fire occurred in Harper & Co.’s mills in Blinders street, Melbourne, t.j-day. The mills and bonded stores adjoining were destroyed. The damage is estimated at £100,009. The Wellington and Dunedin firemen performed creditably at Ballarat. The banquet in the evening was very disorderly.
