His sire, Glasgow Geo.rdie, was bred by Mr Andrew Warnock, Bearyards, Bishopbriggs, near Glasgow, out of his prize mare Maggie, whose stock have all been prize-takers, and sold at high prices. He was imported by D. Nisbet, Esq., and sold to J. Bryce, Dunedin, for £550. Baron Renfrew’s grandsire was the well-known horse Kerr’s Champion, bred by Mr Fleming, Ancbenbowie, Kilmacombe, out of a celebrated prize mare. Champion’s dam obtained first prize at Renfrewshire for brood and yield mares at three different shows. His granclam was never beaten while in Mr Fleming’s possession. Baron Renfrew’s dam was got by Prince oyal, out of Nancy, both imported from Scotland by W. H. Valpy, Esq., Forbury, Dunedin. Princess Royal’s sire Prince Royal, bred by Mr Muir, Hardington Mains, Mr Valpy refused £l,lOO for, and the same, aeaaon ;was guaranteed 100 mares at ten guineas each to travel him’ in Canterbury. His sire, Prince Royal,'was the property of Mr Barr, Barangray, known to be the most celebrated hors© for breeding purposes in the west of Scotland, It will thus be seen, that the Baron is descended from the best Clydesdale blood in Scotland. He was bred by D. Warnock, Broomlands; colour, beautiful dark .brown ; stands 15 J bands ; docile temper, with great flat bones and line hairy legs, rising three years old. > Terms, three guineas, payable at end of season.
