ALL-ROUND ADVANCE THE SYDNEY SALES By Telegraph—-Copyright.— Press Assn SYDNEY, Feb. 24. At the wool sales 12,672 bales were offered, 11,738 being sold at auction and 1182 privately. Competition was spirited from all sections with increased American support. The hardening tendency reported last week may now be quoted as an advance of five per cent, on all descriptions compared with earlier sales last week. Greasy Alerino made up to 24 l-4d. Average prices last week were £2O 3/5 a bale, 16.8 d a pound.
