ESCAPE OF TWO YOUTHS
WERAROA TRAINING FARM MOTOR-CAR /MISAPPROPRIATED (Per Press Association). LEVIN, Last Night. Some time on Wednesday night two youths escaped from the Weraroa Training Farm, near Levin, and last night it was reported that their whereabouts was still unknown. A five-seater motor car, however, was removed from Levin between midnight and 1 a.m. yesterday. The motor-car was found yesterday in a damaged condition at the foot of a bank on the Kaikaraki road near- Dannevirke. Apparently the car was driven along a back road from Woodville. Two youths who answer to the description of those who made the get-away were seen leaving the locality where the damaged motor-car was found.
The youths made their escape from the dormitory in which they were sleeping. It is not known what they were dressed in, but it is believed that neither wore a hat. One of the lads is sft IQin in height and of solid build, while the other is sft 7in in height, 17 years of age, and walks with a stoop.
