Two Men Seriously Hurt
As the result of a collision near Hinds (South Canterbury) at 2.39 yesterday morning between a baker’s delivery van and a motor car, two young men were admitted to hospital seriously injured. The driver of the van, Mr A. Sim, a son of Mr T. McGill Sim, baker, of Hinds, suffered injuries, the extent of which have not yet been ascertained, and Mr R. Clucus, of Allenton, driver of the car, suffered concussion, laceration of the skull and a compound fracture of the right forearm. After the accident Mr Sim was wandering, not being found till dawn, in a gravel pit. Mr L. S. Millichamp, a passenger in the car, was picked up on the road at 4 o’clock. He was dazed but otherwise uninjured.
