FIRST WOOL SALE

At Auckland To-morrow OFFERING UNDER LIMIT CATALOGUE OF 21,081 BALES AUCKLAND, Last Night. Final preparations for the first wool tale of the season, to be held in Auckland on Tuesday, kept brokers and their (staffs busily occupied until ia late hour on Friday night. Wool classed at ithe last minute had to be baled and arranged in. the Stores and catalogues prepared for the information of the buyers when they commenced work yesterday. In a number (of eases farmers who had (previously intended waiting for the secotoki sale decided to place their wool on the market, and this was responsible for additional handling. According to figures made available the total catalogue will be 21,081 bales, which is considerably in excess of what was predicted a' week ago. The offerings at the first sales, in 1934 and 1933 were 17,781 bales and 23,873 bales respectviely. The auction will commence in the Townl Hall concert chamber at 9 a.m. on Tuesday. Although most of >the buyers had not arrived on Friday there were a few in t|he (stores making a leisurely inspection of the wool.
