A wireless message has been received by the captain of the Penang Harbour Board from the captain of the steamer Pasha stating 'that at 8.20 p.m, yesterday he saw flares on Sayer Island, off the west coast of Siam, but was unable to reach the island owing to a strong off-shore wind. The Qantas aeroplane is (proceeding to Sayer Island to search on the sl’einlder chance that ill may be Sir Charles KingsfordSmith.
