GLEN WADE AND JAGET SINGH BEFORE A PACKED HOUSE Before a packed house in the Municipal Theatre, Hastings, last night, Glen Wade, who was substituted for Blomfield at the last moment on account of Blomfield being unable to get a doctor’s certificate, his eyes being bad, drew with the Indian Jaget Singh in a professional contest, which went the full eight rounds. Each man received a fall, Singh gaining the first in the fourth round with his favourite death-lock, while Wade j evened in the seventh from a pile- | driver. The contest was strenuous and clean throughout, both men giving a clever display. Singh was announced at 16st. and Wade at 15st. lOlbs. Mr A. Anderson, of Palmerston North, refereed.
