Well On Road to Recovery.
The fact that the Dominion is well on the road to recovery was mentioned by the president of the Wellington Employers’ Association, Mr. H. Mainland, in his address at the annual meeting of the association last week. “Conditions, generally, are much brighter, and we look forward to the return of conditions that prevailed in the Dominion in 1925-26, when people generally were fully employed at fair prices for capital and labour,” he said. “Viewing all the circumstances of trade and employment in New Zealand during the past three years we feel confident that the future holds brighter times in store for all,” the report stated.
