CAR’S' MIRACULOUS ESCAPE HURLED INTO CREEK (Per Press Association.) GREYMOUTH, August 18. Three occupants of a motor car returning to Greymouth from the Kaiata, golf links on Saturday afternoon had a miraculous escape when the rear of the ear was struck by the Christchurch-Greymouth-bound express. The car was hurled into a creek at the side of the track and extensively damaged. R. S. Brickell sustained a dislocated collarbone, abrasions and shock; D. K. Richmond, the driver, suffered a gash on the right cheek and J. S. Malley abrasions and shock.
