BACON BALLS A few slices of fat bacon and pieces of the crumb of the bread (about the size of a walnut). 1 hard-boiled egg, pepper and salt. Remove the rind of the bacon with scissors, and dip the pieces of bread into hot dripping. Wrap a piece of bacon round each piece of bread and secure with a tiny skewer.
