CYCLONIC DEPRESION WELLINGTON, This Day. The general inference is that a cyclonic depression remains centred near Cape Maria Van Diemen, but is now beginning to lose energy. /An anti-cyclone covers the western portion of the Tasman Sea, but at Chatham Islands the pressure is falling rapidly. The forecast is for light to fresh north-easterly to easterly winds, veering gradually to the
south-east and south.: weather still cloudy to overcast and in
many places misty; further rain is likely hut the intensity qs gradually decreasing; temperatures becoming colder; seas moderate, tmt rising.
