DROWNING TRAGEDY
WHILE i’ISAuLAiG RESCUE BOAT TOO LATE « (Per Tress A.-sucuilioiiy AUCKLAND, Last Night. Mr. Edward. G. Eliott, aged 58 years, married, was drowned while fishing off Bucklands Beach this morning. His calls for help were heard and another' boat rescued Mr. Eliott from the water, but he did not revive. . Mr. Eliott was a well-known resident of the district and was formerly a prominent sharebroker’ in Auckland, retiring in 1921.
