VERY TRAGIC END
DROWNED IN A WET.T, INVERCARGILL MAN’S FATE (Per Press Association; INVERCARGILL, Last Night. A - tragedy occurred this evening when Frederick Longman, 58 years of age, a painter, married, residing at Waikiwi, slipped and fell head first down a well on his property. The. well contained three feet of water, and when Mr Longman was extricated a few minutes later by his son and a neighbour he was dead. The well was five feet deep and two feet in diameter.
