SECOND EDITION VERDICT OF SUICIDE
! — MAX WITH THROAT CUT IN A CHRISTCHURCH HOTEL (Per Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Last Night. Simeon Brophy, aged 41, was f&und in a small room adjoining the bar at the Royal Hotel oii Friday, with his throat cut, and a razor lying beside him. He. was taken to the public hospital, where he died last evening. An inquest was held to-day before the coroner, Mr. H. A. Young, who returned a verdict that Brophy died from a wound self-inflicted while suffering from epileptic fits. Papers found on Brophy indicated that his last address was the Public Works Department camp at Lake Sumner.
