. SHEEP PRICES FIRM AT GISBORNE SALE GISBORNE, April 7. At the Gisborne stock sale, the beef entry was unattractive. Unfinished cows made to 555; medium bullocks, 90s. Fat sheep values were maintained. Ewes, extra 15/6 to 16/9; others 13/9 up. Wethers advanced to 22/6; fairly good, 19/6; lambs 17/6 to 203; second grade ewes Ils to 14/4. Stores: An entry of 11,000 met with a good sale, with values firm. Breeding ewes, fiveyear, 14/11 to 15/10; four-tooth to five-year, medium condition 12/8 to .14/4; four-tooth to four-year 17s to 17/1; good, fair condition 11/9 to 12s 3d; two-tooths, extra 265; good 20/3 to 21/4.
