FOR SENTENCE
BEFORE MR. J. S. BARTON, S.M. TWO WELLINGTON OFFENDERS (Per Press Association) WELLINGTON, This Day. Mr. J. S. Barton, S.M., had before him for sentence to-day, Lindsay Garner, 21, and lan Archibald Hector, 28, on charges of wilfully damaging public telephones and the theft of money from them, as well as other offences. Garner was given a cumulative sentence totalling eight months hard labour, and McDonald will have to serve an additional eight months reformative, on a term with still sixteen months to go.
