WOMEN’S INSTITUTE
WALLINGFORD BRANCH At the monthly meeting of the Wallingford Women’s Institute, Mrs. H. L. F. Wilson presided over an attendance of 30 members. Apologies for absence were received from Mesdames J. D. Ormond, R. P. Wilder, E. MacLeod, J. MacLeod, and Miss Wilder. After the usual routine business had been dealt with, the election of delegaljes to attend the federation meeting, which is to be held at Ormondville, took place and resulted in Mrs. R. P. Wilder and Mrs. McKinley being elected. AYI instructive demonstration in making of pictures from chocolate yfcper was given by Miss Green, who also acted as judge for the prettiest handkerchief competition, in which Mrs. Whitehead was awarded first prize, Miss Mansell second, and Miss Archer third. Miss Green •was accorded a vote of thanks. The roll call for the afternoon was: “One of our earliest recollections.’* The hostesses for the afternoon, Mesdames Hunter, Bott, Sherrett, Whitehead, McDonald and Lane, dispensed a refreshing afternoon tea. The singing of the National Anthem brought a happy afternoon to a close. >
