WOOL POSITION
THE SYDNEY SALES ALL DESCRIPTIONS IN DEMAND SYDNEY, Last Night. At the wool sales 9301 bales were offered and 8474 sold. Seven hundred and two bales were disposed of privately. There was a strong general demand for all descriptions, especially for best lots. Greasy” Merino fleece sold at 15jd. The average price over the two days of the sales was £lO 7/11 per hale, or 8.39 d per pound.
