WANGANUI PRICES FAT SHEEP DEARER. At the Wanganui sale all classes of fat sheep showed a rise of about 1/a head on last week’s prices. Store wethers and forward ewes also sold freely. Cattle and pigs were firm at late rates. Sheep.—Fat wethers 12/-, 12/5, 12/6 to 12/9; prime ewes, 8/- to 8/5; fat ewes, 7/3, 7/7 to 7/9; prime lambs, 13/-, 13/3 to 13/6; fat lambs, 11/7, 12/- to 12/6; forward fattening ewes. 6/5; 2-tooth wethers, 10/6 to 11/- cull ewes, 3/3 to 4/-; B.F. lambs, 8/1. Cattle.—Fat Hereford heifers, £3 15/- to £4 10/-; fat Hereford cows, £3 £3 2/6 to £3 7/6; fat and forward Hereford cows and heifers, £2 17/6; light fat P.A. cows, £3 3/-; prime Jersey cows (heavy), £3 to £3 10/-; fat cows, ex dairy £2 5/-, £2 7/6, £2 10/to £3; forward cows, £1 10/-, £1 15/to £2 2/6; small Jersey weaner heifers, 16/-, 20/- to £1 2/6; dairy cows aged, close to profit £3 5/-, £4 5/- to £4 10/-.
