<3, UNSETTLED —RAIN TO FOLLOW The following is the weather forecast for 24 hours from 9 a.m. this day and issued at noon: The indications are for northerly winds, moderate to strong. There is a prospect of fair weather, but shortly probably cloudy and unsettled with rain following. The barometer is unsteady. RAIN PROBABLE A wide westerly depresion extends from the Tasman Sea. to beyond New Zealand, whilst in the north Tasman Sea there are indications of the development of a cyclone centre. Barometers are rising in Eastern Australia. The forecast is for moderate to strong northerly winds; weather fine and warm at first, but soon clouding over and rain probable later; seas rather rough.
