Inter-Provincial Match HAWKE’S BAY v. WAIRARAPA A WIN FOR THE FORMER The Hawke’s Bay lawn tennis representatives journeyed to Master! on, where they met a team representing Wairarapa on Saturday afternoon in ideal weather. The matches proved to be very enjoyable and keenly contested and the interest was sustained until the concluding games, the combined doubles, the visitors eventually proving the victors by 14 matches to 10. The members of the Hawke’s Bay team speak in eulogistic terms of the manner in which they were entertained, the hospitality extended to them counting in no small manner towards the enjoyment of the visit.
