“SKY DEVILS” TO-NIGHT AND TO-MORROW Laughs and thrills in plenty arc provided in Howard Hughes’ latest film offering “Sky Devils.” For sheer entertainment value, this mile-a-min-ute movie of fighting and flying-fools unquestionably tops them all. Action, romance, comedy and spectacle, all combined in one story —that is “Sky Devils,” which comes to the Waipukurau Theatre to-night and to-morrow. There will be a special matinee on Saturday at 2.30. “Sky Devils” contains some of the most spectacular air scenes shown on the screen since “Holl's Angels,” and its comedy is reminiscent of Producer Hughes’ first great laugh-hit, “Two Arabian Knights.” There is never a dull moment in this thrilling comedy of the air. When you are not laughing uproariously, you arc tense with cxcitmcnt as the film unwinds on the screen at a breathless tempo. “Sky Devils” was directed by Edward Sutherland, the man who turned out both of Eddie Cantor’s latest laugh-hits. “Whoopee” and “Palmy Days.” This is,,by far the outstanding comedy ho has ever directed. Supports include Mickey the Mouse and British News. “MATA HARI” The famous spy story “Mata Hari” will be shown on Tuesday and Wednesday next. There will be a matinee screening on Tuesday at 2.15.
