PLOUGHING MATCH CLUB (From Our Own Correspondent.) A meeting of the Takapau Ploughing Match Club was held last night, presided over by Mr. F. de Stacpoole. A report was submitted setting forth the support which had been promised and it was decided to hold the annual match on Wednesday, 6th July in conjunction with a Sheep Dog Trial and Horse Jumping Compeition. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year:—Patron, Mr. C. Smith; president, Mr. F. de Stacpoole; vice-presidents, Messrs. R. A. Fraser, N. M. Paulsen, W. Hobson, T. Bennett, T. Power. J. Murphy, C. J. Campion and J. C. Rolleston; hon. surgeon. Dr. Alexander; secretary, Mr. F. A. Thompson; with a large committee. Judge of Ploughs, Mr. R. H. Walters; timekeeper, Mr. J. Thomsen; steward for plough, Air. T. Power; steward for horse harness, Mr. C. J. Smith; selection court, Messrs. C. J. Smith, J. Thomsen, and the secretary. A smoke concert will be held on the evening following the match, when the prizes will be presented. From the support promised and encouragement given, the annual competition with other events should be one of the best ever held. Radio Matters Discussed A meeting of all those interested in Radio service was held at Takapau on Monday night, -when it was decided to form a society, and the following officers were elected: —President, Mr. S. F. Stevens; vice-president, Air. C. Pease; hon. secretary, Air. G. Alitchell; librarian, Air. P. Alay.
