BOMBING SEQUEL
<S> JAP. GENERAL DEAD SHANGHAI, Last Night. General Shirakawa, who was injured in the recent bombing, died to-day about noon. The Japanese authorities refrained from announcing his death, stating that the patient’s condition was grave. They have, however, suspended social functions and won’t announce the death until the body is aboard the cruiser Hirato, leaving tomorrow for Tokio. Shirakawa, who was Commander-in-f hief of the Japanese adventure at Shanghai, was elevated to baron directly the Emperor was apprised of the seriousness of his condition.
