An Anglo-American women's golf match played at Wentworth was won by the Americans. Results: — Mesdames Vare and Hill beat Misses Wethered and Morgan, one up. Misses Vanwie and Hicks beat Misses Wilson and Watson, 2 and 1. Miss Orcutt and Mrs. Cheney beat Misses Gourlay and Park, one up. Miss Wethered beat Miss Vare, 6 and 4. Miss Wilson beat Miss Hicks, 2 and 1. Mrs. Cheney beat Miss Coplett, 4 and 3. Miss 'Fishwick beat Miss Orcutt, 4 and 3. Miss Vanwise beat Miss Morgan, 2 and 1. Miss Gourlay and Mrs. Hill, halved The English girls played much below form, being especially weak in putting, while the Americans main tained their reputations.
