GISBORNE SALE GISBORNE, May 21. At the Gisborne fat stock sale prices of fat sheep declined. Ewes sold at 5s 3d to 6s 7d, averaging 5s 9d; lambs 7s lid to Ils; two-tooths 8s to 9s 6d; wethers extra, 10s 7d; others 9s 3d to 10s; second grade ewes 4s lid to 5s 6d. Store Sheep.—An entry of 4000. Values were maintained.. Quality breeding owes were in demand. Up to fouryear, 9s 3d to 10s Id; five and six-year 6s to 7s; lambs good woolly7s 9d; fairly good 6s 7d; wethers, good, 8s 6d to 9s 2d; empty ewes good two-tooths 9s; old forward 4s 9d. QUOTATIONS FOR HIDES LONDON, May 21. Hides. —Meatworks dry salted: Queensland 34 to 45 lbs 4-ld, 30 to 40 lbs 4 3-Bd, 25 to 35 lbs 4d, 20 to 30 lbs 4d; New South Wales, same weights 51d, 5 l-4d, 5d and sd. Wet salted: Queensland 50 to 60 lbs 3id, 40 to 50 lbs 3 l-4d; New South Wales 3|d and 31d; Victorian abattoirs 3 5-8 d and 3 3-Bd.
