Hunt Club Meet At Takapau.

Tho Southern Hawke’s Bay Hunt Club held a most successful run over the Oruawharo estate, Takapau, on Saturday afternoon, when Mrs J. B. A’Deane, deputy master, was in charge of the field. Foresters Meet. The adjourned fortnightly meeting of Court Buahinc (A.0.F.) was held on Thursday evening last, C.B. Bro. B. A. Booth presiding over a good attendance of members General business was dealt with, including a long discussion on social matters. Bros. J. H. Hopkinson and H. J. Paget were announced as having tied for the cup presented to the brother securing the most new members for the past year. Unemployed Camps It is understood ttr.it arrangements by the Lands Department in conjunction with the Unemployment Board, are being made to establish camps of unemployed single men in the Porargahau district, the work to be undertaken being scrub-cutting. The Public Works Department, ’at Nap’er, arranging rhe necessary details. It is not proposed to put tho men under canvas. Pho first farm, on which work will probably commence is that of 'Mr C. E. Clifton, and there the men will be comfortably housed in a large wool shed, and a cottage. Should the first camp prnve successful it is likely that others will bo established, on other farms in '■he district. Each camp is to consist of 30 men and. they will be drawn Trom -Wellington.
