WESTERLY WINDS EXPECTED
The following is the weather fore cast for' 1 24 nours from 9 a.m. this day and issued at noon: — The indications arc for variable and moderate breezes, westerly, moderate prevailing. Conditions will probably prove mild and hazy. The barometer shows little movement. FINE CONDITIONS Following is the Government meteor ologist’s weather report and fore cast, issued last night: — An anti-cyclone still Covers 'the Dominion, while slight depressions continue to pass to the southward. Winds between north-west and southwest prevailing, light to moderate generally, but strong at times about Foveaux Strait. : , Seas rough in Foveaux Strait; elsewhere smooth to moderate in New Zealand waters. Light to moderate variable winds in the eastern Tasman Sea, gradually tending northerly. Weather fair to fine in most districts, but some showers likely in Westland and the far south.
