LOYALTY ASSURANCE
— FROM PUBLIC SERVANTS SOUTHLAND P. AND T. VIEWS (Per Press Association) INVERCARGILL, Wednesday. At a nieeting of the Southland section of' the Post and Telegraph Officers’ Association this evening, the following resolution was carried: — “The Southland section of the Post and Telegraph Officers’ Association deplores the Government’s action in characterising members as disloyal, whereas loyalty and responsible citizenship are our first and foremost considerations. We assure the business community that organised coercion is not part, of our policy and that their sympathies and not their animosity are required in furtherance of oui’ salary grievances and other proposals for the economic benefit of the community as well as ourselves. As our association is non-political and is not responsible for industrial actions or opinions, we ask that recent restrictions be removed so that our constructive efforts may be continued without hindrance.”
