UNIDENTIFIED WRECK
BURNT-OUT HULL ON ROCKS CAPETOWN, May 13. Heavy seas brought in a wreck, keel upwards, at St. Helena Bay, 80 miles westward of Cape Town. It is presumably the hull of a large sailing vessel. It was broken into fragments against the rocks, and shows the wood to be badly scorched. No cargo has been washed ashore. It is surmised that the ship was burnt out before overturning.
