Many girls in Melbourne arc wearing their stockings inside, out. This fashion follows the appearance on a racecourse recently of a young woman racegoer with her stockings reversed. It is said that the fashion was ‘‘discovered” by a young girl who dressed so hurriedly that she put her stockings on inside out. She was probably too superstitions to them. The, stockings, when so worn, appear to have a softer sheen and a smarter appearance, arid the back seam, of course is more prominent.
