TUESDAY NEXT, NOVEMBER 11 ARRANGEMENTS TO BE OBSERVED His Worship the Mayor of Waipukurau has received the following communication from the ActingPrime Minister, the Hon. E. A. Ransome, relative to the observance of Armistice Day, which falls on Tuesday next, November 11th. The Acting-Prime Minister advises that details have been received by His Excellency the Governor-General (Lord Bledisloe) from the Secretary of State for Dominion Affairs, and the Mayor asks that citizens will be good enough to observe the anniversary as formerly: — “His Majesty has approved of arrangements for the observance in this country of Armistic Day 11th November, on the same lines as in

previous years, namely: — (1) Short service will be held at the Cenotaph on the lines adopted in previous years including hymn ‘O God Our Help in Ages Past.’

(2) Two minutes silence will be observed at 11 a.m. Local authorities in this country will be asked to arrange for suspension of all vehicular traffic for two minutes from 11 a.m., but rail and -water transport will not be suspended.’
