A Christchurch importing firm on Wednesday, on opening a ease of goods from Germany, was surprised to find comfortably nestling in the packing, a lizard about three inches long. Its colours are subdued greys and browns, with bands of darker colour across the body. It is strange how the lizard got into the ease. Stranger still is the fact that, although it was there for at least eight weeks, it is still alive and lively, apparently none the worse, for its long sea voyage in close confinement, without food or water.
