DRAWS PHAR LAP IN SWEEP GOING FOR TRIP ROUND WORLD (Per Press Association) THAMES, This Day. A Thames woman, who refuses to allow her name to be disclosed, drew Phar Lap in a £20,000 Tattersail’s Sweep on the Melbourne Cup, who now lives in Paeroa, apd who was an old resident of Thames.
The lucky investor intends taking her husband and family a trip round the world.
