GISBORNE LAND SLIDE
SHEEP AND CATTLE BURIED FARM-HAND'S NARROW ESCAPE (Per Press Association). GISBORNE, To-day. A land slide of 60 acres has dammed the Rae River for about 30 chains. About 60 sheep, and seven cattle were buried under the sudden fall of earth. A farm-hand, Claude Gordon, was caught in the slide, and had a narrow escape.
