Baron de Morpurgo (Italy) beat Gregory 6 —o, 6 —l, G —2. Higgs beat Stefani (Italy) 6 —l, 3—6, 6—3, 5—7, 6—2.

In the Davis Cup tie Czecho-Slo-vakia defeated Holland by three matches to two and meets Italy in the final.

Amcricawvon the three days’ International tennis tournament at Eastbourne by three events to two, the deciding tie being Lotts (America) and Sharpe (England) 6 —3, 5 —7, 6—2, 6—3? In the doubles Hennessy and Lotts (America) beat Godfree and Collins (Britain) B—lo, 6 —l, 3 —6, 7 —5, 7 —5.
