TAKAPAU NOTES. RIFLE SHOOTING. The Dannevirke Defence Rifle Club travelled to Takapau during the weekend to fire off a friendly match against the Takapau Club. The ideal weather was responsible for some fine scores being put up. President S. McNabb, of the Dannevirke Club, registered a possible at 500 yards, making him top scorer for the day with an aggregate of 97 points. The teams consisted of six men aside, the ranges being 300, 500 and 600 yards. The following were the scores:— TAKAPAU CLUB. Yds. Yds. Yds
A match was also fired during the week-end against Waikopiro Defence Rifle Club, and the home team again scored the major points.
