’ Miss - Irene 1 Polhill has left for Weldington to study dancing lessons from ■David Dcvitt, late of J. C. Williamson’s. Miss. Dora Beadnail and Mr C. W. Ellison, who have been staying with Mrs F.; Polhill, have returned to their home in Wellington. Dr. McNaughton has arrived in Takapau to take over the practice that has been crendered vacant by the untimely death, of Dr. 0. J. Reid. Miss M. Newling, who is relieving at the Takapau School, has been appointed as from March Ist to a permanent position on . the staff of the Ohakune District High School. : Mr H. W. M. Kendall ,of Waipawa, 'has been appointed District Coroner, nice Mr Chas. Saunders, of Waipukurau, resigned. Advice has been received that Mr Ken Stace of the local staff of the Bank of Australasia, is being transferred to the Dunedin branch. He will be greatly missed from local .cricket circles, as well as byt- many friends. His successor in the Bank will be Mr Norman Raplcy of Levin.
